This is my vision of a classic "Flying
Saucer". It is very easy to fly, an ideal craft for just having
fun or
to explore scenery. I decided to publish it although
it
doesn't have a custom panel yet, because I just don't
find the time to finish the panel.
Note that the UFO is not a spacecraft, but a planetary
exploration
craft equipped with four spherical, thrust-
vectored AIEs (Atmospheric
Ionizer Engines) and control jets for attitude and rotation. At
sea level on Earth, it reaches about Mach 0.9 with maximum normal
thrust, and up to Mach 2 in high-speed mode. The AIEs work well
up to an altitude of 100,000 feet, where you can even reach Mach
10 in high-speed mode due to the lower air resistance. |
